Crystal Palace’s potential signing of Napoli and Mexico winger Hirving Lozano would excite a lot of fans this season.

That is according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, who was speaking to This is Futbol about Palace’s transfer plans this summer.

Patrick Vieira’s side have managed to add four new faces to the club this season in Lens’ Chieck Doucouré, Bayern Munich’s Chris Richards, West Bromwich Albion’s Sam Johnstone and Derby County’s Malcolm Ebiowei.

And according to reports in Italy, the club have joined West Ham United in the race to sign Lozano this summer.

O’Rourke believes that Wilfried Zaha and Lozano could be a “real handful” for opposing Premier League teams next season, if Palace were to sign the 26-year-old this summer.

“We all know that Palace have maybe struggled for goals over the last couple of seasons.

“If you can get Lozano in there, I think you’ll definitely be adding to the creative input in that Palace side.

“I think that the prospect of Wilfried Zaha and Hirving Lozano in the same attack would excite a lot of fans in the Premier League.

“So, I think those two could be a real handful if they were to join forces together at Crystal Palace.”

TIF Thoughts on O’Rourke’s comments

We believe that Palace fans will agree with O’Rourke’s comments and will be excited at the potential prospect of Lozano and Zaha together out wide next season.

The 56-time Mexico international has an asking price of £17m, having scored six goals and provided six assists for Napoli last season, according to Transfermarkt.

We think that Lozano, who has been dubbed a “goal machine” by journalist Cesar Hernandez, could really find his feet at Palace and could prove to be an excellent signing for the Eagles.
