Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is planning to offer the forward to a number of clubs across Europe to ensure a transfer away from Manchester United.

One of the biggest rumours surrounding the Premier League giants is the uncertainty over the future of Ronaldo, who has reportedly indicated his intention to leave the club this summer despite the arrival of star manager, Erik ten Hag.

While a transfer for the Portuguese legend has been hard to find so far, Romano recently revealed his agent, Mendes, will be looking to once again offer his services to a number of European clubs, even though Ten Hag wants him to stay,

Romano stated, “Erik ten Hag really wants Cristiano to stay, wants Cristiano to be the star of the team wants to have a conversation with Cristiano and then understand if he wants to be the star of the United or if he still wants to leave.

“But what I’m told is Jorge Mendes is planning for new direct contact with many clubs around Europe and not only in the coming days, so Mendes will be on it again.” (1:43)

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

Ten Hag is one of the highest regarded coaches in Europe after his success with Dutch giants Ajax, therefore if Ronaldo still wants to leave despite his arrival at the club, it is going to be very hard for them to convince him to stay this summer.

Losing Ronaldo will be a huge loss as he topped their scoring list with 24 goals in all competitions while also ranking top for shots per game with 3.7 per game. The former Real Madrid star also scored important hattricks which earned them a number of points against the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Norwich, without which, United would have fallen even further down the table.

It is unknown how much United could bring in for him, but surely no amount of money will account for the goals and point she single handled brought in last season. However, just like last summer, if Ronaldo wants to move, he tends to get his way.
