Tottenham Hotspur will now turn their attention to adding a centre-back and right wing-back to Antonio Conte’s options with a deal in place to sign Richarlison.

This is according to The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare who has been speaking to the Last Word On Spurs to discuss the latest Spurs transfer news.

It is now believed the north Londoners have found an agreement with Everton to bring the Brazilian forward to N17 with a reported total fee in the region of £60m.

With Conte’s demand for a backup to Harry Kane now expected to be ticked off the list, Eccleshare believes Fabio Paratici will quickly turn his attention elsewhere.

And with strong reports linking Tottenham to Djed Spence and Clement Lenglet, The Athletic journalist feels these are the two areas Spurs will want to address next:

“The others, the big ones are right wing-back and left centre-back, those are the kind of two. Yeah, because by then, you know, assuming this all goes through [Richarlison], you’ll have the central midfielder come in, the left wing-back, the forward and the goalkeeper. Yeah, those are the two ones. I mean, that would make it six there might be room for one other.”

“So yeah, but those are the two priorities right wing-back and left centre-back.”

TIF Thoughts on Eccleshare’s comments…

One thing which should please Spurs fans immensely is the fact it is just a matter of weeks into the window and it seems as if Conte could be heading to their pre-season tour with potentially up to six new additions.

Are you happy with Tottenham's early business?

Yes

Yes

No

No

It is reported Spence has his eyes on a move to Spurs so we would imagine personal terms would not be an issue, meaning it would be purely down to Spurs now to find an agreement with Middlesbrough.

And it is claimed Barcelona’s Lenglet is also keen on a move to north London, so if Spurs can also land these two additions we think this would make for a sensational start to the summer window.

Whether fans believe these players are good enough yet to make the first team is another discussion, however, to have them on board so early in the summer would be a huge boost for Conte.

In answer to the poll “Are you happy with Tottenham’s early business?” It’s difficult because we are buying players and not wasting any time in getting them.. But I want to see our defence sorted out (not with the likes of Lenglet though)
OK Bastoni refused us but I want us to go in hard for Bremer and get the back line sorted.. (Not that Davis did badly)
If we get Bremer? As far as I’m concerned we’ve had a great window.. if not? then NOPE!
