Tottenham Hotspur: Alasdair Gold issues big Paratici meeting insight

Image for Tottenham Hotspur: Alasdair Gold issues big Paratici meeting insight

Tottenham Hotspur director of football Fabio Paratici left Hotspur Way last week for meetings in Milan with numerous Italian clubs.

This has been suggested by the reliable Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold who was discussing the Italian’s transfer plans on his latest YouTube video.

Paratici was spotted back in Italy last week by the local media following a reported meeting with the agent Giuseppe Riso who represents a number of players currently in Serie A.

Spurs have made three early additions this summer, however, there does seem to have been some issues in getting their fourth new face on board with the likes of Djed Spence proving problematic.

Nevertheless, Gold does not believe this is through a lack of effort from Paratici with the journalist providing insight on his busy week which saw him in talks with Italian clubs on Thursday:

“And he has been a busy man [Paratici]. From what I understand, he spends three days in the middle of the week working at Hotspur Way. And then the other four days he heads off back to Italy or he goes back to his Turin base that he works over there.

“Understand that on Thursday, he was at what was just a standard all-day board meeting at Tottenham on the Thursday, left that halfway through the day, jetted off to Milan, and started speaking to various clubs over there about various situations and things like that. Italian clubs, I should say, not just clubs from Milan.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

There will likely be a lot of Spurs fans who will be hoping one of these meetings would be over the possible revival of a move for Alessandro Bastoni.

Do you think a move for Bastoni is now over?

However, it seems he is set to continue playing his football with Inter Milan following the recent comments emerging from his agent.

With Paratici having a lot of experience working in Italy over the years, we are intrigued to see what contacts he may look to as potential avenues this summer for possible signings at Spurs.
