Tottenham Hotspur are entering the summer transfer window with Allan Saint-Maximin on Fabio Paratici’s radar.
This has been suggested by Alasdair Gold who has been speaking on his YouTube channel about the Newcastle United winger being a potential option for the Lilywhites.
Spurs are going into the summer transfer window having been handed a huge £150m cash injection from ENIC with Antonio Conte now satisfied with the ambition shown by the club’s owners.
Having now spent two years on Tyneside, the 25-year-old goes into this summer’s window with four years still remaining on his current deal.
Tottenham have also been linked with Burnley’s Maxwell Cornet, but Gold believes Paratici holds Saint-Maximin in high regard going into the summer market:
“And the other one I know Paratici really likes is Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle. There’s talk that there’s a release clause there and no one seems to have been able to confirm that but there is talk that there’s one. And I’m told the Paratici is a big fan of his as well.”
“So maybe one to keep an eye on, Saint-Maximin. Especially if there is a release clause and they feel they can get him for a cheap price.”
TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…
We think this could certainly be a gamble for Spurs if they are to pull the trigger on a possible deal for Saint-Maximin this summer.
Would you like to see Saint-Maximin sign for Spurs?
Yes
No
The Frenchman, who was called ‘breathtaking’ by Gary Neville, has certainly not held back in speaking about what he could be capable of doing with better players around him in a recent interview with a French outlet.
And he would certainly have better players around him at Spurs if he was to make the move which would mean he would have big comments to live up to.
There is definitely scope to question the Frenchman for those comments but he would certainly be hoping to improve his output having failed to find the back of the net in 15 league games for the Toon.
