Everton could land a Premier League proven midfielder this summer in Harry Winks with the 26-year-old expected to move on.
Journalist Paul Brown has suggested to GIVEMESPORT a switch to Goodison Park would be one the Tottenham Hotspur academy product would certainly consider.
It is believed Antonio Conte has made the Spurs man available for sale this summer with the Hemel Hempstead-born ace clearly not in the 52-year-old’s plans.
Winks has made 24 appearances across all competitions under the Italian this season, however, just half of those have come from the starting XI (via Transfermarkt).
Having previously been linked with a potential move to Merseyside, Brown now believes Winks would consider following Dele Alli’s January movement to Goodison Park:
“I know Everton looked at him before. I know they’re looking for that kind of profile of midfielder. That’s a club that he would certainly consider.
“Everton might find it difficult to pay £20m for Harry Winks, but there’s probably a deal to be done there. So, I would think, all things considered, he’s more likely to go than not.”
TIF Thoughts on Brown’s comments…
One thing which we feel is clear is that Winks is desperate for a new club this summer having experienced a difficult couple of seasons with his boyhood club.
Would you take Winks this summer?
Yes
No
Winks has failed to make more than 20 league appearances in the last two campaigns in north London but he has previously shown his worth on the biggest stage in club football.
It was just a few years ago when Winks shone against Real Madrid in the Champions League and we think there is definitely a good opportunity available this summer for a club to offer Winks a shot at regular football.
