Wolves fans will love to see a picture of manager Bruno Lage meeting with striker Haris Seferovic – who has 74 career goals for his side – emerge on Twitter.
The Midlands outfit had a disappointing end to a good season under new manager Lage as they fell from challenging for Europe down to battling for a top-10 finish. During the campaign, they seriously struggled to put the ball in the back of the opposition net, as they finished with the fourth-lowest amount of goals scored with 38 – only better than the three relegated sides.
This lack of goals has led to speculation over transfers in the frontline, with the most recent rumour coming on Twitter as a picture has emerged, below, of Lage meeting with Benfica striker Seferovic, who they were linked with last summer.

TIF Thoughts on Wolves signing Seferovic…
While Wolves are in desperate need of a new striker, it is hard to see that the Swiss man will be the answer to their problems. The 30-year-old did not set the league on fire last season, netting five goals and three assists in all competitions and only making 10 appearances for the Eagles in the Primeira Liga.
Outside of the goal and assists, Seferovic continued to have a mediocre season in Portugal, averaging 1.7 shots, 0.6 key passes and 0.3 dribbles per game, with a 67.1% passing success rate (WhoScored).
The saving grace is that he may not cost Wolves much money at all judging by his previous price tags, while his contract finishes in the summer of 2024. This would allow them to spread their money across the team, but signing a more prolific striker to challenge Raul Jimenez might be a better option.
