Journalist Ryan Taylor has tipped Wolverhampton Wanderers to have a busy summer transfer window after a disappointing end to the season.
Wolves had a tough end to the Premier League campaign, as in three of their last four games they faced Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea and failed to secure a win in any of their last seven games, which meant they ended up slipping down the table on the final day and finishing 10th.
Only the sides that ended up getting relegated to the Championship ended up scoring fewer than their 38 goals, and Bruno Lage is supposedly looking to fix this issue, having been linked with highly sought-after Hugo Ekitike from Reims.
Amid the poor end to the season for Lage’s side, Taylor spoke to GiveMeSport and claimed he expects the club to make wholesale changes in the upcoming transfer window.
He said: “I see a bit of transition, to be honest, happening at Wolves this summer. The way they finished the season wasn’t really good at all.
“They still finished 10th, which at the start of the season, given this is the first one without Nuno, they probably would have snapped your hand off for that.
“But I think Bruno Lage has got critics at Wolves that he needs to just kick on and improve, and the season went out with a whimper. So, I see quite a few new signings coming in, even if that means Neves moves on.”

Wolves had a disappointing end to the season, and it was their impressive defensive record that kept them fighting for Europe throughout the season. Only the sides in the top four conceded fewer than their 43 goals.
However, Lage already has a gap to fill in the summer as it was announced that mainstay defender Romain Saiss will not be signing a new deal at the club when his contract expires. The Moroccan made 31 appearances in the league and formed a solid back three alongside Max Kilman and Conor Coady.
Lage was brought in during the summer, and despite a poor end to the season, they finished three places higher than the previous term, so with some summer investment, the Portuguese manager will be hoping that they can push on and qualify for European football next year.
