ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United teenager Sonny Perkins could be set to leave the club this summer.
The 18-year-old is a regular player in the Hammer’s academy set-up and also made a handful of appearances in the senior side over the past season (via Transfermarkt).
With that in mind, he is clearly well rated within the club but his future could lie elsewhere with a couple of other rival Premier League teams said to be monitoring his situation.
While writing on The West Ham Way Patreon, Ex revealed that Perkins may not sign a new contract as his agents want a better deal and so Leeds and Aston Villa could be ready to pounce.
He explained: “We can confirm that Sonny Perkins could be on the move. His contract is set to expire at the end of the month and currently he hasn’t signed a new deal.
“The England under 18s’ agent is apparently asking for a large wage and this contract stalling has alerted a number of clubs including Leeds and Aston Villa.
“If the player does leave, due to his age, West Ham will be entitled to compensation but it would be disappointing to lose a highly rated talent.”
