Presenter ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United are looking to potentially sell Nikola Vlasic this summer.

A recent report in TuttoMercatoWeb claimed that the Croatian could be off to Serie A for the season in a loan move to Italian side Torino.

And while that may well be the case, it sounds as though the Hammers could well be prepared to cut their losses on the player, who signed just last season from CSKA Moscow for a reported fee of £26.8m – plus £7.7m in possible add-ons.

While discussing the player’s future on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex stated that there is interest from a number of clubs across Europe and West Ham will ‘ideally’ want to make some money back on the player.

He said: “We will be moving players out, Vlasic is one. A loan has been talked about from Torino in Italy – one of the clubs that are meant to be interested – but there’s also interest in him from Spain and from Germany.

“Now, the manager of Torino is a Croatian called Ivan Juric, and obviously Vlasic is Croatian, so there’s that link there that would make a move to them make sense. But there are other clubs interested in him as well.

“What we want, ideally, is to make some money back. Now, we’re obviously going to take a bit of a hit on him because his initial fee was something like £26m approaching up to £30m – which I don’t think would have been triggered through clauses, but it was in the deal.

“And now, we’re looking to sell him. It’s a massive shame in terms of what he’s achieved at West Ham, because he looks like he’s got potential to be a good player.”

TIF Thoughts on Nikola Vlasic and West Ham…

Interestingly enough, talk of a possible loan move to Torino hasn’t gone done that well amongst the fanbase, with West Ham Fan TV man Dan Lawless expressing his confusion over the deal.

It remains to be seen as to how he and other Hammers supporters will react to the news that the player could well be permanently sold this summer instead of just being shipped out on a temporary basis.

Still, if the latest claim is to be believed, it does look as though West Ham will consider selling Vlasic in the near future if the right offer comes in. And with Ex stating interest exists in  Italy, Spain and Germany, the 24-year-old could well have played his last game in a West Ham shirt.
