Insider ExWHUemployee has tipped West Ham United to make a transfer bid for John McGinn with his future now in doubt.

According to a recent report from Football Insider, the Aston Villa midfielder could be up for sale this summer, with his side now ready to do business should any offers arrive for the 27-year-old.

It seems as though West Ham could well be one of those teams to make a bid for the Scotland international, with Ex stating that he has also heard the player’s situation is up in the air.

Indeed, while speaking on The West Ham Way podcast, the club insider outlined his understanding of things, while pointing out that the Hammers could make a move for McGinn, who has been described as a ‘machine’, as they have had prior transfer interest.

Ex said (12:02): “McGinn, of Aston Villa. Apparently he has been told that Villa would be prepared to listen to offers for him.

“Now, if that is the case, then it wouldn’t surprise me if we maybe shifted our attention towards him because I know that we have had an interest in him before.”

TIF thoughts on John McGinn and West Ham…
It seems as though West Ham may well be on the market for a new midfield signing this summer – with Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse one name to be heavily linked.
However, if that deal can’t get across the line, then perhaps David Moyes would push for McGinn now that the man – who was supposedly already a past target for the club – is potentially up for sale.

However, if they do want to sign the Aston Villa midfielder, they could end up facing stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur who have also been linked with the 27-year-old in the recent past.
