Presenter ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham United man Nikola Vlasic will join Torino in the near future.

Despite having only signed just last season – for a reported fee of £26.8m (plus £7.7m in possible add-ons) – it looks as though the Croatian will be leaving the Hammers this summer.

Indeed, if the latest rumours are to be believed, the West Ham man will now being heading over to Italy to join Torino ‘in the next week or so’.

Indeed, Ex has spoken about the possibility of a loan to the Serie A team in the recent past, and it does now seem as though that’s what is in store for Vlasic.

While talking about squad numbers for next season on The West Ham Way podcast, the presenter mentioned the player’s uncertain future (18:33): “Number seven is still available. Vlasic has number 11.

“But he looks likely to move to Italy now probably to Torino in the next week or so. So that could free up that number as well.”

TIF thoughts on Nikola Vlasic and West Ham…
Declan Rice was surprised at just how ‘strong’ the Croatian is, as he described him as being in the top three strongest players that he has ever played with.
Interestingly enough, it seems as though Vlasic is just as keen on an exit as anyone else. Indeed, former CSKA Moscow manager Ivica Olic recently said that the midfielder was hoping to leave.
He told told Soccer RU (via Evening Standard): “I wish this for him from the bottom of my heart. I spoke with him. He wants to stay in Europe. For example, to test himself in the German or Spanish championships. He has options.”
And while the West Ham man may have had options across Europe in Germany and Spain, right now it looks as though he will be signing for Torino in Italy.
However, Kevin Campbell has actually urged the player to stay and prove himself with the Hammers in an interview with Football Insider.
He said: “It is not easy. You need to get used to the speed of the game. Players tend to get a lot better with time because they get used to it. I think Vlasic will get better if he’s given a chance next season.”
Even so, if Ex’s information is correct, an exit certainly looks to be the most likely outcome.
