Presenter ExWHUemployee has confirmed that West Ham United are chasing a deal for Arnaut Danjuma this summer.

According to a recent report in The Sun, the Hammers were linked with a move for the winger. It now seems as though that information looks to be accurate.

No doubt, West Ham will be hoping to improve their squad this summer – having already signed defender Nayef Aguerd from Rennes  – and it seems as though a new attacker could be on the agenda next.

Indeed, while posting to on The West Ham Way Patreon, co-presenter Dave Walker passed on the message from Ex (who currently is on holiday).

The message read: “Ex has text me, from his holiday, having just got signal again saying he can confirm interest in Arnaut Danjuma of Villarreal.

“Ex himself reported interested in the player last summer whilst playing for Bournemouth so it is fair to say that he knew of interest then, so it would make sense that there would be now, after the player had a very impressive year in La Liga.

“He is exactly the sort of attacking player Moyes is looking for, as we can play in all attacking positions and down the middle. The Dutch international is hot property however and is expected to have a number of clubs leading the chase for his signature.”

He later added: “The Spanish side reportedly need to sell but will hope to entertain a bidding war to drive up his price which could be near the £40m mark. Hopefully this will not take him beyond West Ham’s valuation.  Moyes in yet to decide whether he is the target they wish to go for and will weigh up his options with further talks.”
