Journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur will look to sign Djed Spence next, as well as a centre-back and a striker.

Already this summer, Spurs have been pretty active in the transfer market. Indeed, the likes of Yves Bissouma, Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster have all arrived ahead of next season – while the Middlesbrough man looks to be next on the agenda.

According to Romano, the right-back is one of the targets for the club and an official bid could come in soon. On top of that, fans can potentially expect two more arrivals to be lined up in the near future.

Talking on his YouTube channel, the journalist said: “At the moment, Tottenham are focused on the right-back with Djed Spence, we know he’s one of the targets. Not the only one, but one of the targets waiting for an official bid.

“They’re focusing on a centre-back, they will go for a striker this summer.”

TIF Thoughts on Spurs and their transfer plans…

According to journalist Manuel Veth (via football.london), Tottenham could well be making a move for Stuttgart forward Sasa Kalajdzic this summer. This rumour helps confirm Romano’s claim that a striker is on the agenda for the club – while Inter ace Lautaro Martinez has also been linked with a move.

In the centre-back department, Spurs could add Dynamo Kyiv’s Ilya Zabarnyi to their ranks – if the latest rumours are to be believed. Alessandro Bastoni of Inter is another reported target.

As for Spence, it does seem as though a bid will come in for the Middlesbrough full-back in the near future. And so, judging from Romano’s claims, and all the other rumours, this could prove to be a very busy summer for the north London outfit.
