Journalist Paul Brown has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have been looking at Richarlison for a long time and their interest in signing the Brazilian this summer is genuine.
There have been reports stating that Richarlison is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur over the summer transfer window, but Antonio Conte’s side face competition for the Brazilian from fellow Premier League sides also keen on the 25-year-old forward.
Richarlison was the standout performer last season for Everton, as they narrowly stayed in the top flight of English football by just four points. He netted 10 times and registered five assists in 30 league games.
Amid Arsenal and Chelsea also reportedly showing interest in Richarlison, Brown claimed to GiveMeSport that he is somebody who Tottenham have liked for a long time, and their interest this summer is genuine.
He said: “Richarlison is someone that Tottenham have liked for a long time.
“People at the club play that one down and say that nothing is happening imminently, but everyone knows their interest has been there for a long time and is genuine.”

TIF Thoughts on Paul Brown’s comments…
Tottenham have relied on Harry Kane for several years now, and last season he was the only recognised senior striker in the squad. But Conte might be keen to get a backup option through the door over the summer, as Spurs will have Champions League commitments to deal with in the coming season, so Kane may need some support up top.
The tough task for the Italian coach will be finding someone willing to play second fiddle, so bringing in someone such as Richarlison – who was labelled a ‘huge talent‘ by Everton manager Frank Lampard and also has previous experience playing on the wing – could be a smart option because he can compete for a starting place out wide or lead the line if Kane needs a rest as the match intensity rises with Spurs returning to the Champions League.
