ExWHUEmployee, who’s well known for his transfer knowledge, has dropped an interesting claim on the future of Everton duo Richarlison and Anthony Gordon while speaking on The Transfer Show.

Everton and many clubs will be very much aware that the Toffees need to address their financial issues this summer and potentially look to cash in on some of their star players attracting interest from afar such as Gordon and Richarlison.

It was reported yesterday [Monday] that Tottenham Hotspur were looking to complete a double swoop for the Everton pair mentioned above, although it appears that the Toffees are certainly reluctant to lose their star academy product.

ExWHUEmployee believes that while Spurs want both Gordon and Richarlison, Everton are only expecting or be happy to lose one of them.

“Everton apparently don’t want to sell Gordon, they are trying to get him out of the deal, Richarlison I think they are accepting wants to leave.

“But Gordon is obviously a young winger, he’s only 21 and they don’t really want to lose him yet, they’re trying to get him tied down to a new contract.

Who would you rather Everton sold?

Richarlison!

Richarlison!

Gordon!

Gordon!

“I mean, he’s contracted until 2025 so they’ve got a bit of time anyway but I think they want to get him on a bit of a long-term contract because he’s a youngster and would be a big loss if they do lose him.”

TIF Thoughts on the future of both Richarlison and Gordon…

It had been reported in the past Everton were looking to receive around £50 million for Richarlison and now considering Spurs wish to add Gordon to any potential deal that fee could easily get close to £80 million given Gordon’s age and long-term contract.

Which of these Serie A stars did the Toffees miss out on?

Richarlison has reportedly told Everton that he wishes to leave this summer and join a bigger club, which considering he’s a Brazilain international that was involved in a relegation battle last season, is not surprising, however, if Evertonians were to see one of their own depart this transfer window after a painful campaign last time out, it could dampen the mood on Merseyside even further.
