Sean Casey has claimed on the Loaded Mag YouTube channel that Newcastle United are willing to pay whatever it takes for Gianluca Scamacca.

Newcastle appeared to have put a load of their eggs in the basket of Hugo Ekitike to help bring effective competition and room to develop behind Callum Wilson on Tyneside, however, that deal looks all but dead in the water now.

Therefore, the Magpies will now have to start looking for different players that can help bolster their attacking options in the final third, be that both out wide and through the middle with Scamacca said to be of interest on Tyneside.

While nothing appears to be anywhere near advanced, Casey believes that if Scamacca indicated he’d like a move to Newcastle, the Magpies would move swiftly for the player.

Will Newcastle sign a new striker?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

“He wants to stay in Italy, but he wants to move as well [from Sassuolo] and Newcastle are very keen and dialogue is open there 100% and very much, I’m telling you this now for a fact, if he says in the morning he wants to sign for Newcastle, whatever the price is, they’ll pay the money for him. That’s how highly they rate him.

“A lot of people would have said, the likes of your Craig Hope’s who are absolutely on the button, they all said that Sven Botman had a yes across the board, this fella is the exact same, he has a yes across the board.

“If they will do a deal with us, if he will come, we will do that deal 100%, he’s excellent.”

TIF Thoughts on Scamacca…

It’s no surprise that Newcastle are willing to go above and beyond for someone such as Scamacca as he’s attracting interest from Arsenal after a very impressive season with Sassuolo managing to net 16 goals in 36 league appearances, despite his club only managing to finish 11th in Serie A.

With Casey claiming that Scamacca is looking for a move away from Sassuolo but would prefer staying in Italy if one of the top clubs such as Juventus or AC Milan come in for him, then there are few other places he could go with Inter Milan close to signing Lukaku, which could leave the Magpies as one of his better options as the window gets closer to shutting
