Keinan Davis would be “a terrific addition” to Nottingham Forest should he return to the club.
That’s according to Nottinghamshire Live reporter Sarah Clapson, who was speaking on the Garibaldi Red podcast, where the panel were discussing the state of the current Forest squad ahead of their return to the Premier League.
Davis was among a number of loanees alongside James Garner and Djed Spence, who were also instrumental as Steve Cooper’s side secured promotion, as well as Max Lowe and Philip Zinckernagel.
The 24-year-old had been a mainstay in the Forest side since arriving in January on loan from Aston Villa, starting in 14 of his 15 appearances before suffering a hamstring injury, but returned for the play-offs as the City Ground outfit ended a 23-year wait for Premier League football – and Clapson would love to see the centre-forward stick around.
She said: “I think he’d be a terrific addition. He’s been fantastic since he came and made a real difference, and I think he would cause a lot of Premier League defences problems because of the way he plays.
“Very different striker to Sam Surridge, for example, but offers something else and has his own strengths that he can bring. It was a real boost having him back for the play-offs. I would definitely be trying to get him back.”

TIF Thoughts on Davis to Forest…
The powerful striker led the team with 2.5 successful dribbles per 90 minutes as his determination helped drive the east Midlanders into attacking areas, while his 1.2 fouls drawn per game – joint-highest among Forest attackers – often afforded the club the opportunity to swing in a cross from a set-piece, where they proved particularly potent.

Among players at the club to score five goals or more, Davis’ shot accuracy of 61% proved the second-highest behind Sam Surridge, while an average SofaScore match rating of 7.2 for the campaign placed him directly behind top performer Garner and further highlights the role he could play in this team should Forest decide to bring the £2.25m-rated attacker back to the club.
