Chris Waugh has claimed on the latest episode of Pod on the Tyne that Newcastle United’s Martin Dubravka has interest from other clubs.
Newcastle have made a very solid start to their summer business by bringing in three defensive reinforcements including Matt Targett, Sven Botman and Nick Pope with the latter perhaps allowing the exit of academy product Freddie Woodman last week.
However, that might not be the end of the consequence of Pope’s arrival with Karl Darlow also tipped with a summer exit, although his talked-about move to Middlesbrough could well now be off given they’re about to sign Zack Steffen on loan.
In the past, Dubravka has reportedly had interest from Juventus and Manchester United and Waugh claims the Slovakian international is once again, attracting some interest in the transfer window.

TIF Thoughts on Dubravka’s future…
Dubravka has been a stunning signing and servant for Newcastle since arriving initially on loan back in January 2018 having gone on to make 130 appearances across all competitions, however, following the addition of Pope, he will no longer be the undisputed number one.
Considering that Pope has arrived at Newcastle in a World Cup year and is obviously an Eddie Howe signing, it would be surprising to see him sit on the bench next season, so it will ultimately be up to Dubravka if he’s happy to compete and be a backup at 33 or does he still believe he needs to be playing first-team football to ensure he remains Slovakia’s number one.
