Phil Hay admits that people can’t rule out Leeds United target Mohamed Camara possibly arriving this summer.

With Kalvin Phillips now on his way to Manchester City, it’s safe to say that Leeds will need to find a replacement.

While Marc Roca has already joined from Bayern Munich to bolster the midfield department, he isn’t said to be a potential Phillips replacement, although RB Salzburg’s Camara could potentially fill any void left by Phillips.

Hay has acknowledged that he nor other people can rule out Leeds moving for Camara, after already signing two RB Salzburg players this summer, while speaking on The Phil Hay Show.

Will Leeds be in a relegation again?

Yes!

No!

No!

“You’ll have seen the links to Mo Camara at RB Salzburg, another Salzburg player. He was dramatically liking Instagram posts earlier this week, they do like him, they are obviously aware of him.

“I think he’s a sort of player who could work for them, I hope he hasn’t prematurely bought a house in Alwoodley, but that is one of those that you would say don’t rule out.”

TIF Thoughts on links to Camara…

Leeds may have to splash the cash to bring the £24.3m-rated Camara to Elland Road and the Premier League, but with the possible £45m-£50m received for Phillips, that price for someone with Champions League experience under his belt could appear to be a snip.

This was a low point in Leeds United's history, but how many points did they get in the 2003/04 campaign?

Leeds and Jesse Marsch seem to have a very good relationship with Salzburg as they’ve already secured the services of Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen, but worrying for Leeds fans, if Camara does arrive, that could signal a sale for Philips may well be imminent.
