Greg O’Keeffe has claimed on the All Together Now podcast about the current transfer situation at Everton.

The Toffees find themselves in a very tricky situation at the moment as their top players such as Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Anthony Gordon are attracting interest from other clubs and given the club’s financial woes they may have no choice but to sell one or two of them.

It’s not just who might be leaving that is worrying for Everton but also if they are even able to sign players for the upcoming season, which is looking unlikely unless a big name leaves and brings a whole lot of money into the club’s coffers.

O’Keeffe believes that Frank Lampard will be on the phone to Kevin Thelwell very soon to understand what is going on at Everton in terms of transfers or lack of them.

Who would you rather Everton sold?

(20:10) “It’ll be a tough one for him and I’m sure he’s wanting to understand as soon as possible if he is going to lose some of these players, how he’s going to replace them because he’s got games on the horizon next month in America against Arsenal, Minnesota and then he’ll be back and before you know it, the season will be starting.

So, he’ll want to have an idea of how his squad is going to look sooner rather than later and undoubtedly he’ll be on the phone to Kevin Thelwell throughout this week just thinking on Monday he’s got a clearer picture.”

Which of these Serie A stars did the Toffees miss out on?

The situation Everton find themselves in is nothing short of precarious, unable to seemingly buy before they sell, even with free agent James Tarkowski, as a deal has seemingly not even been agreed in principle with him yet.

While a lot of Evertonians will not want to hear or think about their clubs selling one of the three players mentioned above, it could well be their reality and only way of ensuring they avoid getting into any trouble with the Premier League.
