Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on the future of Manchester United’s Donny van de Beek while speaking on his YouTube channel.

It’s safe to say that Van de Beek’s time at Man United hasn’t gone to plan with the midfielder having started just four league games since he joined in the summer of 2020 and even a half-season loan spell at Everton failed to help him rediscover his Ajax form featuring just seven times.

Now though, with his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag in the dugout at Old Trafford it appears that this could be the perfect and potentially last chance Van de Beek will have to make a name for himself at Man United.

Romano has now dropped a fresh update on Van de Beek’s future, and it’s a hugely positive one for the midfielder.

Will Van de Beek ever be good for Man United?

Yes!

No!

(1:50) “The information I’m getting on Donny van de Beek is pretty clear, from what I’m told Eric ten Hag has sent a clear message to the board since day one, he’s convinced that Donny van de Beek could be an important player for Manchester United next season.

So, Donny van de Beek has a serious chance to be part of Manchester United’s project in the next season.”

TIF Thoughts on Van de Beek’s future…

Manchester United fans, do you remember how many points you picked up in seasons gone by? Let's find out, starting with 2020/21

Having played under three different permanent managers during his time in the Premier League, this will almost certainly be the final chance and if the midfielder can’t get up to speed and find his form under a manager that knows him ever well, then it appears that it just isn’t meant to be for him in England.

The Man United board will be hoping that Ten Hag is correct and that Van de Beek can be a big player for Man United as they will want to see some return on their £35 million splurge that went on the midfielder back in 2020, otherwise, Ten Hag’s judgement could be brought into question sooner than expected if he can’t get Van de Beek up to speed.
