Tony Scott has revealed which Premier League ace he wants Everton to sign this summer while speaking on the All Together Now podcast.
It will likely be a very interesting summer for Everton who can, thankfully, offer Premier League football to any incoming arrivals, although after fighting relegation last season, many potential arrivals may be coy on signing on the dotted line in case that happens again.
With the Toffees having to work within Financial Fair Play regulations and think about their new stadium which is on the horizon, it appears they could move for free agents and loan deals, as showcased by interest in James Tarkowski and Conor Gallagher.
However, Scott wants a different Chelsea midfielder to arrive in the form of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who started just 13 league games this past season.
Scott said: “I like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, I’d literally go hell for leather for him in the summer.

“There’s a load of players there that Chelsea have got [in midfield]. I think they’ll be loaning players out galore in the summer, so if you don’t get Conor Gallagher, I would literally go for Ruben Loftus-Cheek – I think he was outstanding against us when we beat Chelsea.
“I thought he just bullied our midfielders, they couldn’t get near him and I thought he was a really good presence.”
TIF Thoughts on Loftus-Cheek joining Everton…
Loftus-Cheek potentially featured a lot more than some people may have thought last season for Chelsea – 40 times across all competitions – even though he failed to even nail down a regular starting role in a relegated Fulham side during the 2020/21 campaign.
It’s clear that Thomas Tuchel rates the midfielder as a squad player, however, potentially not as a starter. Now at 26-years old and a World Cup later this year, Loftus-Cheek could well see working under Frank Lampard once again as the best way to get back into England reckoning.
