Guy Clarke has been speaking on The Red Agenda podcast about how Liverpool’s summer transfer window business appears to already be done.

Liverpool made very early moves this transfer window by bringing in January target Fabio Carvalho from Fulham after impressing last season in the Championship registering 19 goal involvements, and they also managed to bring in big-money signing Darwin Nunez, as well as Calvin Ramsey from Aberdeen.

Recently Liverpool have been tipped to go back into the Portuguese market, this time for FC Porto’s Otavio who has a £38 million price tag on his head but would face competition from Leeds United if the Reds decided to firm up their interest.

Clarke, however, believes that Liverpool’s business could already be done unless a spectacular deal presented itself.

Have Liverpool done enough business?

No!

(2:20) “There’s been a lot of talk over the last week or so, our understanding at The Echo being that Liverpool’s transfer business is all but complete and I would imagine it would only take something very drastic to change in the market for Liverpool to make a move.”

TIF Thoughts on Liverpool’s summer business…

If Liverpool are already closed for business this summer, in terms of incomings, then many reds fans will surely be happy with what’s already happened as Nunez is a much younger talent that can replace the void left by Sadio Mane, and Carvalho provides an exciting prospect for both the future and the present.

Which flop signed with Luis Suarez?

However, news of Liverpool now being closed for any incomings this summer may be disappointing for some Reds fans who may have been excited by links to Portuguese ace Otavio, who starred last season in the Primeira Liga registering five goals and 14 assists, but with so many attacking options at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal, it’s difficult to see where he would have fit into the side regularly.
