It has been claimed that Aston Villa will turn down the chance to sign striker Moise Kean this summer.
According to reports in Italian media, the Everton striker – who spent the past season on loan with Juventus – is of interest to Steven Gerrard and Villa.
However, insider ExWHUemployee has stated that the Villans have no intention of making a transfer move for the 22-year-old any time soon.
Indeed, while speaking on The Transfer Show podcast, the presenter said that Villa simply don’t think the player would be ‘up for it’, despite being offered the player.
He explained: “They’ve been offered Moise Kean, who’s the Everton forward on loan to Juventus. But apparently, they’re not interested in him – they don’t think he’s up for it.”

TIF Thoughts on Moise Kean and Aston Villa…
Kean, who was called a ‘sensation’ by TalkSport, scored six goals in all competitions last season, so he hardly set the world on fire while back in Italy. On top of that, he’s only ever netted four times while playing in an Everton shirt, so it’s not as if he could be expected to shine in the Premier League.
Even so, having won trophies in Italy and France with Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, it’s hard to deny that he isn’t a player who would arrive with plenty of potential – especially still being just 22 years old.
Despite that, if Ex’s comments are true, Villa evidently don’t think he would be worth the risk. With Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings on the books, Gerrard may well feel as if the club are stocked well enough in the striker department for now, anyway.
