Arsenal summer target Raphinha is now open to any move away from his current club this summer, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The insider was speaking on the latest episode of his Ranks FC podcast to discuss the future of the Brazilian, who has been linked with a move away this window.

Raphinha has been strongly linked with a potential move to Barcelona already in the last couple of months, however, recent reports have suggested he could remain in the Premier League.

But it may not be with Leeds, given Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are a side who are believed to be keen on offering the 25-year-old an exit from Elland Road.

Amid the reports, Jones now believes Raphinha is desperate for an exit away from the Yorkshire club and is not solely targeting a move to Camp Nou:

He said: “Also, just to throw on the back of this, Arsenal have been linked to Raphinha. There’s something there, for sure, and interestingly, Raphinha is willing to listen to just about anything right now. He wants to leave Leeds and he’s all ears – he’ll listen to any proposal you’ve got.”

TIF Thoughts on Jones’ comments…

This does feel like a significant twist in the Raphinha transfer saga, with Leeds now at risk of seeing their star man depart for another Premier League side.

Given Barcelona are currently enduring financial struggles, we think this is a huge boost to Arsenal’s reported pursuit of the 25-year-old winger this summer.

With the La Liga giants also believed to be looking to add the likes of Robert Lewandowski to Xavi’s side, could this now make Arsenal the realistic frontrunners in the race for Raphinha? Based on Jones’ comments, that doesn’t seem impossible.
