Alasdair Gold was not left impressed by the performance of Dejan Kulusevski in what was an almost faultless performance by Tottenham Hotspur.

Two games remain in the 2021/22 campaign for both North London sides ad the advantage remains with Thursday’s visitors, however, they were on the end of a serious beating in N17.

The Swedish winger has made a sensational start to life at Spurs since making the move back in January on an initial loan from Juventus.

Having already provided 11 goal involvements in just 16 Premier League appearances for his new side, it was perhaps an underwhelming display from the 21-year-old on such an impressive night for Spurs.

And it was apparent the reliable Spurs journalist, Gold, felt the winger was the weakest link in Conte’s XI on Thursday having awarded him just a 6/10 rating: “Some nice moments but could have made even more of an impact on the game,” Gold wrote.

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

Perhaps it was a slightly disappointing showing from Kulusevski given Harry Kane and Son Heung-min continued their sensational form by providing the three goals.

Kulusevski only managed to touch the ball 34 times in the game and lost the ball on six occasions, but failing to attempt a single dribble is perhaps the most damning stat (via SofaScore).

However, it was by no means a disastrous display and if anything he should go into the game on Sunday against Burnley with a point to prove having been withdrawn after 72 minutes.
