talkSPORT correspondent Alex Crook doesn’t feel that Arsenal have had a good season despite being in the hunt for Champions League football.
Mikel Arteta’s side need nothing short of a miracle to make it into the top four having thrown away a six-point lead on their rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

They were beaten 3-0 by their north London rivals before falling to a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on Monday after they were dislodged in fourth by Spurs last weekend.
Antonio Conte’s men hold a two-point lead over Arsenal heading into the final round of fixtures and head to bottom-of-the-table Norwich where the Reds will need them to lose and hope that they themselves beat Everton.
However, despite fighting for a place at Europe’s top table Crook isn’t convinced by the Gunners’ campaign.
Speaking on the TalkSPORT GameDay podcast he said:
(57:41) “So what they lost 13 games now Arsenal over the course of the season. I don’t think it’s been as good a season for Arsenal as people suggest. I think the reason they’re in the contention of the top four is because some of those teams around them not least Manchester United have been so dismal themselves.”

He does make a very valid argument considering the underwhelming season at Old Trafford with United labouring to their worst ever Premier League points total and having not had to contend with any European distractions at all this season perhaps Arsenal really have missed a trick.
Erik ten Hag is sure to lift the spirits in the red half of Manchester while West Ham will look to strengthen having fallen short in the final stretch of the current campaign meaning that the Emirates Stadium outfit could be left behind.
