Journalist Pete O’Rourke is adamant that a Europa League final win would greatly improve the finances at Rangers.
Having already defeated German sides Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig on this already incredible European journey, the Ibrox club face an Eintracht Frankfurt team who finished 11th in the Bundesliga this season for a place in the group stages of Europe’s elite competition next season.

Clinching a first continental trophy since 1972 would see Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side join Celtic in the Champions League, and O’Rourke believes the financial rewards would be of huge benefit to the Glasgow giants.
He told GiveMeSport: “It would be a huge boost for Rangers if they go on to win the Europa League after a fantastic European campaign.
“It’s guaranteed qualification to the Champions League group stages, which will be massive for the club financially and would show the ambition of the club as well.”
TIF Thoughts on Rangers…
A return to Europe’s top table would complete the turnaround for the Light Blues since their administration in 2012, and they will apparently have huge funds to help their bid to be competitive amongst the continent’s strongest.
The Athletic reported that the club would receive £80m over the next two seasons should they be triumphant on Wednesday night, having already attained £18m for their memorable run.
Not only would they be guaranteed six Champions League group games, but a UEFA Super Cup clash with Liverpool or Real Madrid would increase the money pool, which also highlights just how paramount this fixture is to the future of the club.
