Rangers could be set for a huge injury boost ahead of the Europa League final, with Kemar Roofe spotted travelling.

This Wednesday, the Scottish club will face Eintracht Frankfurt at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium in the last stage of the European competition.

With so much on the line, Giovanni van Bronckhorst will naturally want all of his best players available to him. Unfortunately, Roofe hasn’t played since suffering a knee injury in mid-April.

With much doubt remaining over his fitness, Rangers fans will have been glad at least to see the striker arriving in Spain with the rest of the squad earlier this week.

Indeed, in a video shared to Twitter by Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie, Roofe can be spotted with his manager and a number of other first-team players.

TIF thoughts on Kemar Roofe and Rangers…

This video is something that will excite Rangers fans as Roofe grabbed a goal and an assist in the quarter-final win over Braga, so his importance to the team cannot be understated. With 16 goals to his name this term and a further two assists, supporters will be desperate for the 29-year-old to be involved against Frankfurt.

The only trophy in Europe Rangers have ever won is the European Cup Winners’ Cup back in 1972 – so this game will feel monumental in the club’s history.

With three goal contributions in eight Europa League matches so far in the run to the final, Roofe will hope to add to that tally in the final. First, he has to get fit, but for now, he has at least travelled with the team.
