Some potentially worrying footage has emerged from Celtic’s lap of honour last weekend involving Christopher Jullien.

The Frenchman was a regular for Celtic when he joined in 2019, but a huge knee injury saw his 2020/21 campaign cruelly cut short, which also carried over into this term and has thus found it more difficult to make an impression on manager Ange Postecoglou as he’s been out for so long.

Should Celtic sell Jullien?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Jullien has seemingly been left disappointed by his lack of minutes and appearances during Celtic’s title-winning season and that’s seen him contemplate his future, especially if the Hoops manage to sign Cameron Carter-Vickers on a permanent deal.

During Celtic’s lap of honour last weekend when they paraded around the league title, Jullien was captured walking around the pitch seeming rather sad, slowly applauding the fans and not interacting with any of his teammates, suggesting that his future lies away from the Bhoys.

This is exactly what Celtic student journalist Ryan McGinlay thought as he reacted to the video, saying: “He’s definitely away, isn’t he?”

TIF Thoughts on Jullien’s future…

Which season did Roy Keane join the Hoops?

In an exclusive interview with Goal, Jullien admitted he would be looking to leave this summer in search of first-team minutes if they didn’t come about with Celtic, however, his future may depend on whether or not Celtic can manage to secure the permanent signing of Carter-Vickers, who’s made 46 appearances this season, but has interest from Newcastle United, who could likely offer far superior wages.

This will not have been the way that Jullien will have wanted his Celtic career to end, especially after being such an influential figure for the Bhoys during his one and only full campaign in Glasgow. It’s just been unfortunate that he picked up such a lengthy setback.
