Alasdair Gold has been speaking on his own YouTube channel about the decision Celtic ace Cameron Carter-Vickers has to make this summer.

Carter-Vickers was out on loan for the second successive season after he had just returned from a stint on the South Coast with Bournemouth in the Championship, but since joining Celtic he has been a man mountain for Ange Postecoglou becoming the third most regular starter under the Australian boss.

Will Celtic sign Carter-Vickers permanently?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

The American international has racked up 42 appearances for the Bhoys, already won one domestic cup, is on the cusp of clinching the league title and was also recently named in the SPFL Team of the Season.

Carter-Vickers has certainly made a great impression at Celtic, but Gold admits he will have a decision to make this summer with other clubs interested in him:

“Really interesting to see what happens with Carter-Vickers now because obviously Celtic have this option to buy him for £6 million with another £4 million or so in add ons for the future if he meets certain targets, or they do.

“There are a fair few Premier League clubs starting to be interested in Cameron Carter-Vickers as well because he has been brilliant for Celtic, I mean really good.”

This English Premier League winner almost moved to Celtic.

Celtic will be desperate to keep hold of Carter-Vickers this summer and the fact that they have an option to buy in the loan deal and that Postecoglou has trusted him throughout the season giving him regular starts and minutes, they’ll likely be confident of signing him permanently.

However, with Carter-Vickers never getting a chance to impress at Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League despite coming through the club’s academy system, if a top-flight English club comes calling, he may want to take that chance and show why Spurs bought him in the first place.
