Journalist Dean Jones has claimed that Celtic may look to bring in two more key players to Parkhead in the summer transfer window.
Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou brought in Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jota on loan in the summer, and there is an option to bring the American to the club for a fee in the region of £10m, while £6m could see the Portuguese winger join permaenently from Benfica.
Despite winning the Scottish Premiership, Celtic suffered failure in Europe this season, as they were knocked out in the qualifying stages of the Champions League, before being knocked out of the Europa League group stages and the Europa Conference League knockout rounds.
Due to Celtic’s shortcomings in Europe this season and the relative continental success of rivals Rangers, Jones claimed to GiveMeSport that Postecoglou may look to bring in two more key players in the summer.
He said: “I fully expect, especially with Rangers having success in Europe, that they’ll have an understanding that, ‘we can’t rest on our laurels here’. And they will look to probably make two more decent signings on top of those two.”

Celtic won the Scottish Premiership by four points and were excellent all season, but this may not be enough for Postecoglou, especially with Rangers showing they are able to succeed against top European sides – so this may give him the motivation to spend big in the summer.
Jota and Carter-Vickers have been vital for the Hoops this season, both being in the top six performers in terms of average player rating in the squad, while Jota has the most goal contributions (20), as per SofaScore.
So it is important that Postocoglou gets both of them in on a permanent deal ahead of next season.
With the Hoops having Champions League football next season, this gives the board more of an incentive to splash some cash in the summer, as they will want to progress out of the group stages.
