Celtic’s 24-year-old loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers has been tipped to remain at Parkhead ahead of the summer window.

Reliable Tottenham Hotspur journalist Alasdair Gold has been discussing the American’s future with the Bhoys on his latest YouTube video.

There has been a lot of speculation as to where the American will be playing his football next season with his Parkhead loan coming to an end in a couple of weeks.

However, it seems his impressive season under Ange Postecoglou has caught the attention of three Premier League clubs who are believed to be showing an interest in potentially signing him.

But the Spurs journalist believes Carter-Vickers will likely want to build on what he has started at Parkhead having grown comfortable under the Australian manager.

Gold said: “He will be someone that will be leaving [Spurs] this summer. The option that Celtic have is £6m with the potential for £4m more in add-ons eventually if he meets certain criteria. He’s had a brilliant season.

“He’s got Premier League clubs interested in him. He could be a Premier League player. My gut says that Celtic will sign him and I think he’ll want to stay at Celtic because he’s got a great thing going there.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

We think staying at Celtic would be the best move for Carter-Vickers to make this summer after becoming such a prominent feature in Postecoglou’s starting XI.

It has been a difficult number of years for Carter-Vickers, who has been sent on various loans throughout his Spurs career, however, he now seems to have settled well at Celtic.

So to then decide and try his luck in the Premier League feels like a huge risk when he would have seemingly guaranteed first-team action with a Champions League side.
