Interesting first question, how many Celtic fans were inside Ibrox?

The Glasgow outfit are believed to be close to capturing the signature of Jeahze. It is said Celtic will pay a fee of £2m for the 25-year-old, who currently plays in Sweden for Hammarby, and he should be able to join as soon as the transfer window officially opens.

Writing on Twitter, McGinlay shared his happiness at the news. He said, “Mohanad Jeahze looks to be a done deal. Very impressed with the speed of our recent transfer dealings if this gets over the line soon. Seems like lessons have (finally) been learned? Very happy with this news.”

TIF Thoughts on Jeahze

The left-back has enjoyed a good spell at Hammarby, having amassed 12 assists in 56 games for the club. He has also managed four caps for Iraq and, given his age, he should be around for quite a while. The main positive for Celtic, though, is that the deal appears to indicate that they are ready to get their business done early.

Giving Postecoglou as much time as possible to prepare his team for next season is important. With the Scottish Premiership title now all but sewn up – they need just one point from their remaining two games – they will be in the Champions League group stages next term. That will prove to be a huge step up in quality, and Celtic must be ready to attack that competition, and the other three fronts they will be fighting on, as soon as possible.
