Celtic all but secured the Scottish Premiership title with a dominant 4-1 victory over Hearts at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.

It was a nightmare start for Ange Postecoglou’s side as Ellis Simms capitalised on some poor defending three minutes in to put the visitors ahead.

From then on it was one-way traffic. Daizen Maeda and Kyogo Furuhashi both found the back of the net before the interval to put the Hoops ahead. The second half saw two more goals for Celtic as Matt O’Riley and Giorgos Giakoumakis put the game beyond any doubt, with the three points safely in the bag.

Although they dominated, not everyone had a good game. Matthew Fulton’s match ratings for the Scottish Daily Express don’t read well for Anthony Ralston, who got a 6/10, with the following justification: “Poor service into the area from him and had plenty of Hearts pressure to deal with.”

TIF thoughts on the rating…

SofaScore agrees with Fulton, giving Ralston the lowest rating in the Celtic starting XI, joined with Joe Hart as both men got 6.8 on the website.

Which season did Roy Keane join the Hoops?

The full-back lost possession a whopping 18 times in the clash and only won two ground duels out of the six he contested, so all in all a poor day for the defender.

He won’t care though, nor will the Celtic fans, as the title is as good as in the trophy cabinet at Celtic Park and he has enjoyed a decent season on the whole having provided four goals and seven assists in the league alone.
