Express and Star Wolves correspondent Liam Keen thinks that Wolves could look to offload Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder spent this season on loan at Sheffield United and scored in the Championship play-off semi-final defeat to Nottngham Forest on his way to being named the club’s player of the season.

Does Gibbs-White have a future at Wolves?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom has admitted that he would like to bring Gibbs-White to Bramall Lane on a permanent basis while according to The Athletic, AC Milan have made a ‘tentative enquiry’ also.

After 26 appearances in Wolves’ first season back in the top-flight in 2018/19, the England U21 international has featured just 20 times since in the Premier League and Keen has now cast doubt over his future at Molineux.

Speaking on the Express and Star Wolves podcast he said:

(30:07) “To be a regular feature, playing, starting every other game starting two out of three, something like that.

“I think that’s going to be the real catalyst for his move, or whether he stays, you know, if he’s not guaranteed that or if he’s not at least, offered that by Wolves, I think he’d be very keen to move on and Wolves have got to weigh up their options this summer because they could command a very decent fee for a player who came through the academy.”

TIF Thoughts on Gibbs-White and Wolves…

Although valued at £9.9m (Transfermarkt), Keen sees reason for Fosun to command at least a £15m transfer fee for their academy product who has been hailed as ‘outstanding’ by Barnsley head coach Poya Asbaghi.

Do you think Ruben Neves will leave Wolves?

Yes

No

Journalist Josh Holland has previously tipped Gibbs-White for a starting berth in Bruno Lage’s side next season and with Joao Moutinho’s contract expiring in June as well as the future of Ruben Neves in serious jeopardy, there is room for the youngster to forge his own path in gold.

MGW is not that good to be guaranteed a start, no player should expect that, maybe playing for a tin pot club in yorkSHIRE has gone too his head, he was happy enough to sign another contract so he should get his head down and fight for his place just like the rest.
