Insider ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham United will make six or seven signings in the upcoming transfer market.
Having just fallen short of the Europa League final last season, and coming in at seventh in the Premier League, the Hammers will no doubt look to improve upon that next term.
To do so, their squad may need to be improved and already a number of players are being linked with the London outfit – such as Southampton captain James Ward-Prowse.
While speaking on The West Ham Way Patreon page, Ex stated that the club have plenty of targets which they will explore and outlined just how much business he expects to be done this summer.
He wrote: “The club have a range of targets that they are exploring at the moment for a number of positions.”
He added: “I would expect us to make 6-7 signings this window and I’ve obviously mentioned more than that on targets. As explained many times before the club have a large list of targets and then narrow down after discussions for what they believe to be the deal.”

With a number of players evidentially expected to arrive at the club this summer, this will likely mean some players have to be sold.
Of course, the likes of Andriy Yarmolenko and Mark Noble will also leave the club when their contracts expire, so that will make some space for new arrivals, but midfielder Tomas Soucek has been linked with an exit too.
Indeed, Ex recently claimed that West Ham would be willing to listen to offers for the Czech midfielder. That would certainly explain the aforementioned links to Ward-Prowse, but it will be fascinating to see who else the club chase in the coming months.
