Presenter ExWHUemployee has revealed that West Ham United are ready to make an offer for James Ward-Prowse.

With the summer transfer window now arriving fast on the horizon, the rumour mill is truly beginning to build some momentum. And it looks as though West Ham are set for a busy few months.

Indeed, with news emerging recently that the club could be prepared to sell Tomas Soucek, the Hammers may well be on the hunt to upgrade their midfield.

If that is the case, David Moyes may feel as if he has already identified his ideal replacement. The latest update claims that West Ham are ‘expected’ to make a bid in the summer transfer market for the Southampton midfielder.

Having been named in the latest England squad, there should be little doubting Ward-Prowse’s status as one of the more talented midfield options in the Premier League.

Backing that up, Charlie Austin recently told TalkSport that the player was ‘phenomenal’ and tipped him for a big-money move this summer. While West Ham may want him in their team, there has also been talk of a £75m bidding war taking place for the player between Manchester United and Manchester City.

If that is the case, the Hammers may find it difficult to prise him away from Southampton. However, if they are close to making a bid as Ex claims, they might win the race for his signature after all.
