One man that is apparently a target for the Hammers is Moroccan central defender Nayef Aguerd. He is apparently liked by Moyes who is set to go for him.

The news broke via ExWHUEmployee, who said the following: “I can confirm that the club are likely to make a move too for Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd. He is someone highly regarded by Moyes and he definitely fits the bill.”

TIF thoughts on Nayef Aguerd…

The Algerian has certainly been a key player for Rennes this season, featuring 38 times already this season, scoring twice and assisting three times. His discipline in the main has been extremely reliable as well, he has been sent off once but only has three yellow cards all season.

Another strength of his is his passing as he currently has a passing accuracy of 89% and a passing accuracy in his own half of 93%. As well as this he averages a whopping 4.1 clearances per game, 0.9 tackles per game and 3.1 aerial duels won per game (as per SofaScore).
