West Ham United have qualified for Europe again next season after an impressive run to the Europa League semi final this year. David Moyes’ attention has already turned to next season, with the Scot looking to secure his squad.

One man that is set for improved terms at the London Stadium according to the Daily Mail is Jarrod Bowen. The English winger is set to have his £60,000 per week wage doubled in a lucrative new deal.

Will Rice extend his West Ham contract?

It will be important to get the key players tied down to new contracts to fend off interest elsewhere, especially when they could be losing key man Declan Rice who won’t sign a new deal as per Fabrizio Romano.

Transfer insider Dean Jones has looked at the Bowen situation, telling the following to GiveMeSport: “I think he would be more likely to sign than Declan Rice because Declan Rice isn’t going to sign a new contract. West Ham also know that there is early interest in Jarrod Bowen. Even if he doesn’t go this year, then next year it will probably all be about him.”

TIF thoughts on Bowen’s new deal…

For starters, securing European football will help the Hammers keep hold of Bowen for now as they look to push on next season, especially if they double his current wage, it would be hard to turn that down.

How well do you know these West Ham squad numbers? Starting off with an easy one: Declan Rice

Getting the winger signed up would be huge business for West Ham United when you consider his importance and influence to the side. Heading into the final game of the season, he has already reached 51 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals and assisting 13. He also ranks as the club’s highest rated player per game in the Premier League, as well as second for shots per game and key passes per game (WhoScored).
