Tottenham secured an important point in their pursuit of Champions League football, and they could well have picked up two more had it not been for a heavily-deflected Luis Diaz equaliser. The draw was also a blow to Liverpool, who are now three points behind Manchester City in the title race with just three games remaining.

Klopp was far from happy after the match, and questioned Antonio Conte’s tactics. While Spurs do possess world-class players such as Harry Kane and Son, Liverpool are arguably the best team in the world right now and have lost just once in their last 30 matches in all competitions. It is hardly surprising that Spurs would sit back, look to attack on the counter and defend when they found themselves in front. It is up to Liverpool to break down such teams and styles of play, and it is their deficiencies in this match, rather than the tactics of their opponents, that Klopp should be concentrating on.
