Harry Kane is excited about what the future may potentially hold at Tottenham Hotspur on the back of recent events at the club.

Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold has been revealing what he has been told from those within the 28-year-old’s camp on his latest YouTube video.

It has been quite a few days for Spurs fans with Champions League football sealed, a huge injection of cash from ENIC and strong links to Alessandro Bastoni and Filip Kostic.

And now the news seems to be getting even better, with any summer speculation over the future of the England captain seemingly brought to an end by Gold.

There are two years now remaining on Kane’s contract with the Lilywhites, but Gold does not believe he will have his eyes on a move this summer.

He said: “I understand, I’ve spoken to a few people within Harry Kane’s camp, people that know him really well. And everything I’m getting back is that he is very excited about everything that’s happening. And, you know, there’s no intention from his side with everything that’s going on to be even thinking about moving away this summer.

“I understand there’s no talks at this current stage of a new deal for Kane, but he certainly would be open to it if this is the path Spurs are going on.”

Do you now expect Kane to sign a new deal?

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

This is quite the change from this time last year, with Kane believed to be hoping of leaving the north London club for a proposed move to Manchester City.

As Gold mentioned, with Kane believed to be happy and a move to the Etihad Stadium seemingly now off the cards, we do wonder whether he would now look to commit his future to N17.

It would appear the board now have big ambitions for the near future at Spurs and we think Kane will be at the centre of their success, so it could be an extension that both sides would be keen to agree upon.

Antonio Conte was able to get Kane back to his best after a difficult start to the 2021/22 campaign, and with a full pre-season under the Italian, it could be a big season ahead for the striker, who seems fully committed this time around.
