Tottenham Hotspur are growing in confidence over the possibility of landing Filip Kostic in this summer’s transfer window.

This has been suggested by Alasdair Gold, who was speaking in his latest YouTube video following a hectic few days of action at the north London side.

All eyes now seem to be set on who Spurs can bring in over the next few months, with Antonio Conte believed to be pleased with the recent ambition shown by Tottenham owner Joe Lewis.

And one of the early targets believed to be high on Conte’s wishlist this summer is the Eintracht Frankfurt left wing-back Kostic, who has enjoyed a sensational run this season.

Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has spoken extremely highly of the wing-back recently, saying: “You can’t bring him down, he’s a mentality monster.”

Who would you prefer at Spurs?

Amid reports claiming a move would cost Spurs in the region of £25m, Gold provided an insight on what he has heard about the possibility of landing the 29-year-old.

He said: “I know certainly that they’ve got a lot of interest in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 29-year-old, Filip Kostic – their left wing-back.

“So that’s one they’re going to look at, they’re going to try and sign. I think there’s a lot of interest in him, but we’ll see. I think there’s a growing confidence that he might be someone that they can bring in this summer.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments…

We think this would be a huge upgrade at left wing-back for Conte, with a lack of goals and assists coming from either Ryan Sessegnon or Sergio Reguilon this season.

Unlike the current Spurs crop, Kostic has provided seven goals and 15 assists across all competitions this season, which is more than Reguilon has managed in 67 games for Spurs.

After an impressive display in the Europa League, particularly, we think this would be a real statement from Spurs to land one of the hot properties this summer for what is a relatively low price by today’s standards.
