Tottenham Hotspur will be talking to Inter this summer about a number of their players over potential transfer deals.

This is according to the Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge, who has been speaking to This Is Futbol about the Lilywhites’ summer business.

Reports suggest Antonio Conte has a new centre-back on his radar this summer and Alessandro Bastoni is one of the players highly regarded by the Italian.

And last summer, the north London club were heavily linked with Inter’s main man up top, Lautaro Martinez, with a £60m bid believed to have been lodged by Spurs.

Now Conte’s future with Tottenham has been confirmed ahead of the summer window opening, Bridge believes he will be looking at his former side to potentially snap up a couple of their players, with the likes of Martinez having been linked in the past.

He said: “Well, we know that we liked him [Martinez] last year. So I think Tottenham and Inter will be talking quite a lot this summer on a couple of players, a couple of defenders as well.

“Inter finished second, so they’re back in the Champions League next season, but their finances are still a bit sketchy.”

TIF Thoughts on Bridge’s comments…

This will surely be music to the ears of the Spurs fans, with Inter being one of the strongest sides in Europe over the last couple of years and a number of their players being linked.

Spurs have also been linked with Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij in recent months, with a clear emphasis on Spurs looking to improve their backline.

And you would think Conte’s relationship with some of these Inter players may prove advantageous for Spurs in their hopes of potentially landing them this summer.
