Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte will be demanding Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici bring in at least five new additions this summer to bolster his squad.

This is according to the reliable transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has been speaking on the Que Golazo YouTube channel as the transfer window nears.

Are you confident Spurs will back Conte this summer?

It was time to celebrate on Sunday for Conte’s men as they secured their spot in next season’s Champions League, but Levy still has a huge week ahead of him at Hotspur Way.

Reports suggest Conte, Levy and Paratici are set to meet towards the back end of this week to discuss the direction of the club, with the Italian manager looking for reassurances going into the transfer window.

And Romano believes the 52-year-old will be demanding as many as six new additions to his squad before the 2022/23 campaign begins.

Romano said: “He always wants to make sure that the future is guaranteed and the club is backing him in every single point. So that’s what’s going to happen.

“They will have a meeting this week with Fabio Paratici, with Antonio Conte, with Daniel Levy – and once they will have everything in place, we will understand who are the targets, who are the players that they will try to sign.

“At the moment, it’s still something that they need to discuss internally: how many players; [what] is the budget? So many things to do between Conte and Tottenham before mentioning some targets, but for sure, if Antonio will stay, it’s because he’s sure that they will sign important players.

“He wants many players. I mean, 5/6 signings to continue and to be competitive next season.”

TIF Thoughts on Romano’s comments…

We think this is the very least Conte should be demanding this summer after the tremendous job he has done with the Lilywhites to get them into the elite European competition.

Spurs will now have the Champions League to compete in so strength in depth will also be needed, particualrly with the Premier League also introducing the five substitutes rule from next season, too.

Given what Conte has been able to achieve with this Spurs side having only seen through the January transfer window, we think Levy should be excited for the summer window and allow the Italian the freedom to put his stamp on the squad.
