Alasdair Gold believes Ivan Perisic would be a ‘big signing’ for Tottenham Hotspur, amid links between the Croatian and a move to N17.

Tottenham will be spending the summer gearing up for a return to the Champions League next season as they feast at the top table of European football once again after usurping their north London rivals to a top-four spot late on in the season.

With this in mind, Antonio Conte will be turning his attention to the summer transfer window, with Croatian forward Ivan Perisic on his radar at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He is out of contract this summer, so could be on his way to the Premier League on a free should Spurs strike a deal with him and his representatives, which is something that Fabrizio Romano has reported is a ‘here we go’.

Gold has had his say on the potential move, tweeting: “Ivan Perisic would be a big signing for Spurs. Not only as a multi-title and Champions League winner to bring that to the pitch and dressing room with his mentality and versatility, but also because he represents a Conte-led change in Spurs’ transfer policy. Ready-made and early.”

TIF Thoughts on the potential move…

Perisic will certainly bring plenty of experience to Spurs and knows the manager from his time in charge at Inter. They won the league title together, so they obviously work well and understand the demands of one another.

Do you know Spurs' former academy players? Which former Burnley player used to play for Spurs' academy?

Perisic has racked up a staggering 49 appearances for the San Siro giants this season, finding the back of the net 10 times to go with nine assists he’s laid on for his colleagues. He is clearly a key member of the squad, so Conte will be looking for him to have the same impact in north London if he decides against renewing his deal in Milan.
