Lucas Moura has sent an interesting message on his Instagram account to Tottenham Hotspur fans after their last home game of the season.

In what could be one of the biggest wins of the season (apart from last week’s north London derby win), Tottenham Hotspur managed to beat relegation-threatened Burnley 1-0 on Sunday afternoon which saw them move into the top four.

Should Spurs sell Lucas?

This summer will be the first transfer window for Antonio Conte to recruit the players he wants for his side, as well as reshuffle his current squad to remove some of the players seen as deadwood and not going to be starters.

One of these could well be Lucas, who has been tipped for an exit this summer – especially since the arrival of Dejan Kulusevski, who’s pushed the winger into a bench role, but the winger’s future doesn’t appear certain to lie away from Spurs as he sent a message to the fans claiming he would ‘see you next season.’

TIF Thoughts on Lucas’ future…

How well do you know where these Spurs signings came from? Take our quiz to find out! Firstly, where did Dimitar Berbatov arrive from?

Lucas will always be fondly remembered by the Spurs supporters for that memorable hat-trick he scored away to Ajax which sent them into their first-ever Champions League final, but his inconsistency is what’s stopped him from becoming a great or even a regular for Tottenham, as he has not scored in the league since Boxing Day.

If Tottenham are to sign Kulusevski permanently – something that’s been reported will happen – there appears to be no future as a starter for Lucas at Spurs, but given he turns 30 in August, the winger could be settled in north London and could be happy to settle for a bench and rotation role under Conte, hence this message.
