Podcaster Simeon Daniel has claimed that Christopher Nkunku would be a no-brainer for Spurs after impressing this season.

It was reported that Christopher Nkunku was on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur last summer, with rivals Arsenal also showing interest. Spurs may show further interest to bring him to the Premier League this summer, especially if they qualify for the Champions League.

Nkunku has been in world-class form for Leipzig this season, he has scored 31 goals and registered 20 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions, meaning he is on the radar of many of the top clubs across Europe.

Whilst talking to the WeAreTottenhamTV YouTube Channel, Simeon Daniel highlighted that signing Nkunku would be a no-brainer, but it may be a deal that is optimistic for Spurs, even if they qualify for the Champions League.

(7;25) “It’s a no-brainer, its a possibility but I’m sure his value will have skyrocketed this season, he has been that good, it will be a difficult deal to get done but I would definitely take him that’s for sure,” Daniel said.

TIF Thoughts on Simeon Daniel’s comments…

Christopher Nkunku, who is valued at £58.5 million (as per Transfermarkt), has been a standout performer for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga this season. He has the second most goal contributions in the entire league (31), he has created the fourth most big chances (15), and has the third-highest average player rating (7.55), as per Sofascore.

With these stats, Nkunku will be on the radar of all of the top clubs across Europe, and it will be likely to be a large fee to sign him as his current contract is not set to expire until 2024. So, it may be difficult to see him join Spurs, especially if they do not qualify for the Champions League.

The French international is still just 24-years-old, so he may opt to stay with Leipzig for another season, as there is no rush for him to take the next step in his career.
