Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on the Here We Go podcast about the transfer meeting Antonio Conte is set to have at Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs still face an uphill battle to make it into the top four as they sit two points behind Arsenal with just four games left to play and if Tottenham don’t manage to finish in the Champions League spots they will likely point towards their inconsistent form for the majority of the season.

Are you worried Conte will leave Spurs?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Even if Spurs don’t clinch a top-four spot then the board will still surely look to back Conte this summer as he only got to bring in two new recruits under his watch this season and both Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski have imposed themselves immediately on the team with a high number of starts.

Romano has revealed that no matter where Spurs finish, Conte will sit down with Levy and Paratici to discuss summer transfer targets.

(16:00) “So this is the message from Conte, he wants a big revolution with Tottenham, but not a revolution in a negative way but like signing multiple players, they need like four, five, six new players in summer and important players in Antonio’s opinion.

So this is why between Antonio and Tottenham there will be a meeting at the end of the season and they will decide together but this is what Antonio wants.”

TIF Thoughts on Spurs’ summer transfer plans…

With a load of players leaving Tottenham in January, both permanently and temporarily, it was very clear that Conte was already pointing towards a squad overhaul in the next upcoming transfer window, but the calibre of players they can attract will likely depend if they have Champions League or Europa League football next season.

Any player that they approach will likely be tempted to join just because of Conte being at the helm and the obvious success he has had in management, however, a lot of the top players will prioritise Champions League football, so in this transfer meeting, the list of targets may drastically change after the final game of the season.
